The hashtag#WatsonProject consortium met last week in Brussels for our final 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆, and it turned out to be one of our most productive gatherings yet!

IELab NTUA was proudly represented by Christos Gagas, a dedicated member of our lab who highlighted the successful work we have carried out throughout the three-year duration of the project. His contributions showcased how our research has supported Watson’s mission and demonstrated the tangible progress achieved through close collaboration with our partners. It was a great moment to reflect on our team’s commitment and to reaffirm IELab NTUA’s role in advancing food traceability research in Europe.

It was a day to celebrate three years of achievements and to showcase how the technologies we have developed are making Europe’s food safer, more transparent and more trustworthy. Beyond the demos and discussions, it was a moment to reflect and inspire future work on food traceability across Europe.

With 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟰𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 around the table, the collaboration and mutual support were truly remarkable.  As we head into the final months of the project, these exchanges are crucial. February 2026 may mark the formal end of Watson, but the connections we have built and the work we have started feel much more like 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
